Re: Farman F-40
Thought I'd bump this thread as I've been working this 3D file into FG, week before last. New features include: working turret submodels, ( Yeah, you can shoot those pesky Huns in the Sun now, if you can get a decent bead on them.) The optional hand-pump fuel tank kinematic, mouse clickable along wi...

Re: Allfex Mumble chat server is going away in December?
Why do I imagine that what I say is not what you read? I try again.. I've already tried Discord, connecting to the VOIP app was a problem, their website portal is always lagging or completely cutting off, and as much as I tried, it could not even find my microphone, and whomever was trying to speak ...

Re: Allfex Mumble chat server is going away in December?
I mean c'mon windows XP/Vista is too old. You can't expect developers to still support it. Other than that, me and many others here use discord on a daily basis and we've no problems whatsover with it. Discord is not just a VoIP service it almost runs like a forum. All the text is saved there, and t...

Re: Allfex Mumble chat server is going away in December?
I still don't understand this enthrallment with Discord. It's a complete fiasco, it's a bloated, half functional app, with way too many questions about it's security, what you lose in agreeing to their terms, and it's potential for access to your own computer's data. Not to mention the first reply a...

Re: Fokker F.II: Fokker's ressurection
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/7/71/Fokker_F.II.jpg/1200px-Fokker_F.II.jpg The prototype F.II made it's first flight near Oct 1919. It was powered by the same BMW IIIa 200 HP engine that powered the late model Fokker D.VII. It had a somewhat comfortable seating arrangement for...

Allfex Mumble chat server is going away in December?
So for those of us still using Mumble is there a possible alternative? And nope, no Discord for my machine, Discord has been having terrible lag, and has been cutting out and actually not working for folks lately. I don't understand all the hype about it.

Re: Really Cool LaTeX usage
Should be a boon for steam gauge makers, I'm wondering if the fonts include early 20th century text common on most instrument faces of that era.

Re: Thorsten Postures on GPL
The thing is FGaddon is only available now through Source Forge and as only huge download. And if you don't have NoScript that website is rife with adverts, Did the FG maintained sources of older versions of FG aircraft on the original FG Download Central go away?

Curt 'weighed in' on the Shot of the Month for Nov.
I post a few screenshots to the SotM in the main forum. I was in a 3 way tie with two other posters and Curt decides to put in a vote after the vote stood for almost two weeks at this 3 way. And Curt's vote was for, (IMO ) the most pedestrian and not so great screenshot. I'm wondering if this was be...

Re: Fokker D.VII from FS-WWI
I'll get the revisions updated soon. In addition I've added a non intrusive start-up feature. Most WWI aircraft used air pressurized fuel tanks to pump the gas to the engine. Most of them this involved a tire handpump looking affair that put a few P.S.I. air pressure into the tank before switching o...
