Re: Bell UH-1

another question, still on tail rotor

Do you get to the point where you run out of anti-torque peddle and as such can only turn in one direction, going with the rotor torque ?

Re: Bell UH-1

Ok another question..... It's all to do with the tail rotor control. The main rotor spins up to 325rpm and the tail to 5x this at 1620rpm Is there some kind of fancy control that adjusts the tail rotor blade angle as the main rotor blade angle is adjusted by the collective ? ie are they tied in toge...

Re: Bell UH-1

ok I'll use 15.55 degs...one thing I have noticed is that I now need to add damping to this as a result of rotation velocity, otherwise it enters into oscillation

Re: Bell UH-1

Another question, I'll try and explain but I know it's likely to lead to confussion.

With the stick fully forward the rotor 'flex' 15degs is this correct.... I know there's no hinge but there must be some flex as it does so under it's own weight when stationary

Re: Bell UH-1

So the auto disconnect is dependent on what turbine property ?

By this I mean what is it that indicates an engine failure, flameout ?
If it's a loss of power, by how much ?

I can simply use the set-running property

Re: Bell UH-1

I can auto rotate this fdm.... However let's see what the new engine transmission system brings

Am I correct in thinking that with engine fail the clutch disconnects instantly or does it still rely on centrefuge ?

With regards 2) I was thinking of doing this for you....

Simon.
