I tried the approach yesterday with the 737-300. Metar loaded around RTT and it turned out to be low cloud cover with tons of turbulence. Two missed approaches and I had to divert to Samedan instead.

Fun approach for sure.

Hopefully we'll be able to get down in one piece.

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

I tried this in the MD81 in VFR with some Map help to locate the two waypoints to set up the approach. Yeah the change in METAR halfway through the approach is a bugger, I did mange a real squirrely crosswind crab onto 08.

I created the routes for both LOC DME east and west a while back for the flightgear route manager. You can find them here: https://github.com/mdgrk/lowi

I also have openradar routes somewhere. I can dig them up if there is interest.

Note that LOWI recently changed some waypoints which are not yet in FG, so I had to improvise a bit.

Use with a grain of salt -- I do not take responsibility for any people who do not turn BEFORE INN. Not doing so is a good way to pick up a Christmas tree.

Now that I think about it... Lemme check my database.
SIDs, STARs, and approaches (freeware but not gpl).

themadgreek's are 100% guaranteed to be more up-to-date though.

Thanks madgreek, I have the latest navigraph files with me, which I thought of sharing privately with the participants. Now I don't have to :)

You're welcome. Let me know if there any issues with them, though I extensively used them a few days ago with a friend and they worked well, especially in conjunction with the advice from VACC Austria you posted :) .

Cheers,
