Not questioning your plane Josh.
Nor if the FDM on it is realistic or not.

[if you read more of my posts above you'll notice I still regret not having a chance to test it lately, so I cant even make a call on it]

I am talking more about the realism of an experience a flight simulator can provide.

Let me give you an example. When you fly in real life non simulated cockpit, you get physical feedback. Stuff that you feel with your internal ear. That real experience hardwires to the way a pilot reacts to the controls. Not only eyes on the instrument. Its an anatomical experience.

The perfect FG plane, the most realistic (be yours or others, I dont call it)..... can very well still give a very unrealistic experience... Right?

Another example is the visuals, give lets say we are going to Samos. You may have missed the important role of the visual cues in landing there. One chart even mentions a white roof house that one will attempt to target at 400 ft, just before the runway end. That house is not there modelled in FG. So off course, there is a limitant on how realistic the experience is, a limitant into how those real visual cues used in realistic VFR approaches we are going to be missing nonetheless.

The perfect FG plane, the most realistic (be yours or others, I don't call it)...... can very well still give a very unrealistic experience... Right?

PS: In fact my posting there was actually a follow up to the idea that you are going to be flying in RL. you said.

Air France A330 tries to kill everyone on board. Success. AirAsia A320 tries to kill everyone on board. Success.

Make your own choice of what you fly, i would say.

@wecsje, I presume you and I will use the old FDE, from master branch for our flights?
:)

Lets see, AirAsia A320 crash: pilot error, and failure to do maintenance on the plane. "Rudder Travel Limiter Unit" failed 4 times during flight, pilots followed the correct ecam procedures the first 3 times. The fourth time they decided to reset a circuit breaker, which was not allowed to be reset during flight, this circuit breaker also reset part of the FBW, which made the plane go into alternate law (which is still flyable perfectly...). Pilots were not able to fly manually, which caused the plane to go into a stall and crash. Flying in alternate law is one of the things that gets theached the most in A320 training. Another thing was that they were flying through very bad weather, which was due to the absence of weather radars at the ATC center. So conclusion: pilot error, and failure to perform maintenance, RTLU failed 20 times earlier that year.

Air France A330: temporary inconsistency between the measured speeds, probably because of ice crystals on the pitot tubes, caused the aircraft to go into alternate law. Pilots did not follow correct procedures, and made incorrect control inputs, that destabilized the flight path. Then a stall warning went off for 45 seconds, but pilots failed to recognize and take proper actions. Conclusion, pitot tubes malfunction (which was well known, and there was a directive to replace them) caused plane to go into alternate law, then pilot error, due to not being able to recover from the stall, not following procedures, and incorrect control inputs.

Charlie (Wecsje)

Yes, as the new one is unstable.

Yups
Plus, a 777 will let you nose dive it to the ground, and Airbus won't.

Both the villages are there but neither the pier nor the white shed (probably easy to put a static object).
