FRANKFURT

LISTEN to ATC! Jomo is a grand ATC, but rather impatient in his ways -- make sure to follow his instructions!

haha!
Funny note about Jomo! :P
That reminds me I should pay his service a visit once again. I hadn't done it in months! ;)

I flew with him today

1) the German language gives a lovely accent, in English or German. AB450 said somehing in German and Jörg replied in the same language. It aounded like (slightly harsh) music. This was my firat tiem using Mumble with him, and he was quite happy not to type.

2) KOL is banned for all time at Frankfurt-- you know that guy with the wondehful British auxcent, who lives roight beside Heathroowh, and actuallly comes from India (and has an uncle in Hong Kong -- sounds cool!)?

3) SM, KOL, among others, well. It was an interesting session. I am quite dissapointed in SM. He was slow to respond to Jomo; he went the wrong way; ended up being neglected. And ended up setting off everyone's TCAS alerts, and in fact shadowed / tailgated me to the gate. Quite annoying. Ignore, I am afraid...

4) Jomo does a great job.

On Wednesday and weekend days i mostly start off with a relaxing flight to Frankfurt from Amsterdam, Berlin or another airport at similar distance. The no nonsense approach of flying (almost) straight in resembles reality at a not so busy airport.

There is just one requirement of Jomo: react to vectors and altitude instructions. Really easy if you use the right tools for it: Do not try to program the instructions in the flight manager, but manipulate the autopilot manually. Actually on my recent 777 jump seat flight the pilots did exactly that.

Praise for the most consistent ATC, being there always on the same evenings. Though his "get off the runway" sequence is maybe a bit fast for newbies unfamiliar with starting up fast or finding the disconnect mp.

Kind regards, Vincent

Sounds cool; how did you manage that?

Point number 1: German is a lovely language in my opinion.

Yes. I really enjoy flying with him.

Point number 2 is amusing me.

SM doesn't have a mic I think, so that may be why.
