Atleast people should express openly their discontents without fearing.

If we gave everybody in the World free software today, but we failed to teach them about the four freedoms, five years from now, would they still have it?

Maybe that's a stupid question, but who are Dovetail and Lamiar Research?
Free speech can never be achieved by dictatorial measures!

Afraid that is not possible. If they were paid trolls, then they would not develop in C++!
They might develop in Nasal, but not C++...

Dovetail Games = Devs of FSX Steam Edition
Laminar Research = The Devs of X-Planes

I think that's a little too conspiratorial, I'm more likely to conclude that the problems started with the switch at SourceForge to running advertising pop-ups, and including, ({ which is a biggy AFAIC} downloads with spamware executables in the code that make the freeware, advertising spamware...) and some monied powers behind Sourceforge project's new wealth are a bit concerned about the Creative Commons EULA's in FG.

The problem with X-Plane and FSX is that if FG was taken under their wing, all the developers in FG, no matter how small their contributions would win a monetary payback because of GPL2's requirement that past contributors are granted the profits made from going commercial. That's part of the reason for the development history data.

It's far too socialistic for those poised to make some money, in what I see as a purely libertarian level of duplicity, complicity, greed and character assassination, that I've seen countless times on Political forums. There's a certain pattern that's obvious.
