Like every dictatorship in history, the dictators and their willing helpers see their goal in harassing everyone with another opinion and silence opposition by means of removing people with other opinions, be it by putting them in prison or, in this case banning them. One has to understand, that they need to keep information that doesn't comply with their politics from their sheep. Look at NKorea. Do you think, you can spread their any information about freedoms in other lands? Same situation in Curt's forum and now, since he made attempts of crowd funding, even more, he can't afford to have information about the failures in his project for everybody to read, who maybe would invest into FlightGear (and Curt's and Thorsten's pockets).
Therefore, if the 24 hour ban doesn't work, you can predict what will happen and you have afterwards still your own opinion instead of being a brave silent sheep, Stuart will put his Adolf Eichmann hat on and follow orders - means, you are up for a permanent ban.
The questions, Curt, Thorsten and Stuart should ask themselves though, what will be the consequence? Did they kill FGMEMBERS by banning Israel and me? Nope, they only forced us to create a free speech forum. FGMEMBERS is well and alive. Development is quite fast there, so we sit on more and in many cases better planes. Can they kill TerraGIT? Not gonna happen! So, for the next time, there will be the usual accusations "we want to destroy FG" or "we want to fork FG" ... well do they really think, we clean out their sack full segfault problems. Some users can't even switch off AI without a program crash with the 2016 version, and destroying FG ... really? Actually, we pull more new pilots and plane developers into FG than they do. We run, thanks to Israel, the biggest MP events in the community. We invest a lot of time and work into FG ... so only a really paranoid sick mind, worried about the own power can make a claim, we would destroy anything. But wrongful accusations are another tool in the arsenal of any wannabe dictator. Remember ... the Jews wanted to destroy Germany ... riiiight! And all those SKorean spies want to destroy the wonderful world of the Kim dictatorship ... riiiight! And we want to destroy FlightGear ... riiiiight! The risk, that our wannabe dictators destroy FG is much bigger than we would do so (or could) by anything, we do. But thne, that is exactly the truth, they can't elt out on their own forum ... not at a time, Curt is looking for money!
