His nostalgia disappeared with the
mist and left an immense curiosity in its place. Only when they
ordered him to put his back to the wall did Arcadio see Rebeca, with
wet hair and a pink flowered dress, opening wide the door. He made
an effort to get her to recognize him. And Rebeca did take a casual
look toward the wall and was paralyzed with stupor, barely able to
react and wave good-bye to Arcadio. Arcadio answered her the same
way. At that instant the smoking mouths of the rifles were aimed at
him and letter by letter he heard the encyclicals that Melquíades had
chanted and he heard the lost steps of Santa Sofía de la Piedad, a
virgin, in the classroom, and in his nose he felt the same icy hardness
that had drawn his attention in the nostrils of the corpse of Remedios.
“Oh, God damn it!” he managed to think. “I forgot to say that if it was a
girl they should name her Remedios.” Then, all accumulated in the rip
of a claw, he felt again all the terror that had tormented him in his life.
The captain gave the order to fire. Arcadio barely had time to put out
his chest and raise his head, not understanding where the hot liquid
that burned his thighs was pouring from.
“Bastards!” he shouted. “Long live the Liberal Party!”

Well, yes, the liberals shot for their ideology are honored in poems to make others believe it is worth to follow in their steps
Conservatives killed by liberals are usually stripped from the history books as soon as liberals get control of the educational system. Or did you know, that Democrats killed 3000 freed slaves and Republicans and tried to kill several senators who introduced Civil Rights Acts in the 1870s? This part of history isn't even taught in schools anymore.

yup. hit the bulls' eye JWocky

I used literature around the argument, but you are a literature-man, so grasp it no problem

The beginning of the excerpt as read by the youtuber is really touching and relating to the topic, but unfortunately the translation I found and used above is really wrong and "inadvertedly" ommitted the whole thing.
It's about how Arcadio realizes few minutes before being taken to the squad how he did not care for death. He cared for life. Then it continues as translated above.

See, in my experience, whatever the cause is, and how good it maybe sounds ... once you have to start to kill people for it, you better need some damn good reasons and "he didn't believe in my faith/ideology" or "he didn't follow my Führer" doesn't count.

However, this distracts a bit from the history line and after all those posts in between, I should at least answer the one question, what has the Civil War to do with Hilary Clinton.
Well, the Civil War led to the KKK which was a Democratic spawn. But by 1880, the Democrats had abandoned their terror department and the KK died virtually out, even the ideas were quite alive in the Democratic Party. They refounded the Klan in 1915, the biggest promoter than was Woodorw Wilson, the President who led the US into WWI and then the failed "League of Nations" plan.
The second Klan lived on till the Democrats had what they wanted (their support for their prohibition laws which put America in one of the worst crime times ever), then, in the late 1930s and early 1940s, the Klan fell in hibernation again.

To be refounded again by Democrats in 1957 when the first little motions of the Civil Rights movement came up. Now, early figures in this early Civil Rights movement were either Republicans (like MLK) or party free. But the party of segregation, that was the Demcoratic Party. Look at their primaries in States like Alabama and Arkansas at the time.
Starting point was, of course, another Civil Rights Act coming from the Republicans. There hadn't been any Civil Rights Act since the 1875 one, the Democrats had stopped, but now, with just 20% of the African-American population, they found it necessary to add one more to make it possible for EVERY American citizen to vote. This Civil Rights Act, that established measures against voter suppression and systematic disenfranchisement was dangerous for the Democrats. Not only didn't they like the idea, being the party that had on state levels established most of those black voter blocking laws, but also because it had the potential to rip their party to pieces because the Northern Democrats were more open to the idea than the Southerners. Thus, party before country or people, the Democrats fought it tooth and nails. It didn't help them, the Civil Rights Commission with oversight rules over election proceedings became law. The Republicans brought it through despite one of the longest filibusters ever from guess who.

However this third Klan operated on a slightly changed idea than the first. They had inherited from old 2nd Klansmen the ideology of Jew hating before Black-hating. In WWII, too many wihtes and blacks and reds and whatever came along had fought together. Still, in the late 1950s, it was still about blacks, even their writings already incorporated the Jew hating. They did a lot of bad things, but they also created a new generation, not only of Klansmen, but also Democrats. And this generation became the political mentors of those, they picked for future leadership roles in the Democratic party.
In 1962, especially Martin Luther King had gained so much traction, the Democrats, for the change in the White House again, was posed with two options ... lose the power or do something to satisfy the African-Americans.
Now, you remember the Civil Rights Act from 1875? The one, the Democrats had stopped back then in Supreme Court? The one that would have given for example Rosa Parks the right to sit in a bus wherever it pleased her? Democrats had stopped it ... but now, JFK took it, rewrote it a very little bit and made it this one big Civil Rights achievement the Democrat still sell till today. The funny thing is, this Civil Rights Act of 1964, it went actually through smooth and unconstested with the support by both parties. By all means, the provisions were a Republican draft from 80 years earlier. The Republicans, marketing challenged as they sometimes are, didn't see what was going on, they just saw alaw they wanted like forever. So, everybody voted for it, it became law. The only Civil Rights Act, the Democrats were ever involved with! The Republicans have since boxed through three or foru more ... gay rights, equal education rights and so on.
And this started a new pahse. The Klan basically switched to Jew hating and gave up on blacks aside of the occasional blah line. And a new generation came up, trained and mentored by Klansmen. Dave Duke was originally mentored by George Wallace, Democratic Governor of Alabama and Wizard the Knights of the White Rose of Alabama. Harry Reid's mentor was for example Mike O'Callaghan who himself was a Klansmen originally from Wisconsin and Isaho (highest rakn I could find before he was more or less appointed to Nevada was Dragon of the White Knights of Boise). And the jackpot went to the two most promising newcomers: William and Hilary Clinton. Their mentor was James Fulbright, Senator Fulbright had been actually one of the last second Klansmen who had helped to form the third. He was a typical Southern Democrat (one of those, who allegedly, according to the story Democrats tell todayy all left to become Republicans ... well, he served in fact till 1974 as Senator for the Democrats and ran since a grant and study program to recruit more people. He was later honored by Bill Clinton with a medal.
So, all the tricks, for example with the Clinton Foundation, the early dirty tricks, that led to the Mena murders (some unsolved murders around the Clintons, but not the only ones), it was all covered and it was possible to cover it because the right people sat in the right places - and those people were the Klan brethren of their mentor.
So, RIGHT NOW, Hilary Clinton is running on the forged history their party tells the gullibles. But a closer look reveals (aside of a really impressive number of dead bodies around her), she is still member of the Association of Black Lawyers in NY ... an association which never had many black lawyers in it's membership but a lot of hardcore liberals and Klansmen. Funny thing, not all of the white members are lawyers either. Dave Duke isn't a lawyer for example. Dave Duke, back in the 80s already a Grand Dragon, I think, was the one embracing the same black candidate as the Clintons did in his race for mayor of NY ... because the man was such an acceptable Jew hater!
See, all the things, the media talk so heated about, like Benghazi or private email servers or bribery from Arab nations or her Taliban-affiliated advisor ... those things all happened and existed and still do. But they are not single and discrete incidences. Digging closer, you see a recurring pattern and this pattern is at least partially dictated by what is in her background. Some Klansmen, some New Black Panthers, some professional racists of the Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson type (his role in the MLK assassination was never investigated, any attempt was stopped by the Democrats), some finaciers out of the Klans-fog. If you have that many people helping you you can't show off, then you simply need private email servers. I mean, you can't have it that an email for example offering some millions for her withdrawal of support for Israel would end up in the Library of Congress, right?
Technically, Hilary Clinton, measured by this background, is, like many other leading Democrats, at least affiliated with an organization that even at the best will can only count as terrorist organization. She is, by her direct Taliban contact and donations from some AlQaeda near soruces in the Middle East at least connected to two more terror organizations. If she would be a normal citizen, she would be at least prime suspect in four homicides, not even counting the death of Walther Scheib (conveniently because he knew about some of the emails that were deleted), not even counting the death of Mary Maghoney (she was the go-to person of female interns in the White House during Bill's years there). Not even counting the death of Vince Foster that was ruled a suicide (the shotgun he used was too long, he couldn't have reached the trigger, but well). But James McDougal is a strong case, dying from a very convenient "heart attack" two days before he was supposed to reappear before the Starr commission to talk abotu some of the Clinton's financial transactions. The weird part is, all the doctors seemed to know what was coming and just looked the other way.
Also Don Adams would be a death to look into. He was a lawyer who tried to help people who were swindled by the same group of friends who later pulled up the same kind of land swindle in Whitewater. Those group pulled the same thing two years earlier in Branson. People lost all their life savings and hired Don Adams to represent them, but the land swindlers went on and pulled the same trick again, in Whitewater, only with two new partners in the boat: Bill and Hilary Clinton. Funny thing, at least two of those people appear in the same Klan chapter as Fulbright. So, Whitewater made the Clintons and their friends rich, but when Don Adams began to ask not only for Branson but also for Whitewater, he was conveniently found dead. The police, back then under the authority of 'Governor Bill Clinton of course, never investigated but declared his death at first an accident, later suicide after the accident theory became indefensible and since then refuses to give any information.
A similar case is John Ashe. He was prosecutor in the China-gate affair, which also included funneling money from Ng LapSeng to Bill Clinton's campaign for re-election. This was this year in June. Now, the police told first, Ashe died from a heart attack but after became public, his larynge was crushed, they told, it was an accident, he dropped a barbell on his throat. The only problem is, the body wasn't found in the gym. Given the theorem of motive and opportunity, normally, police would look into the Clintons, but they don't. Well, you know, Hilary was all the time a senator there, right?
There are more cases, a total of between forty and fifty at the moment, with a strong tendency to climb. Many of them are probably bull, but some should be investigated. Well, technically every case of suspected homicide should be investigated, it is only funny, that the cases in which the name Clinton is uttered never are. But at least another political friend of them, former Chief of Police in Suffolk County, James Burke, just got three and a half years for corruption in office. Alas, another case, the funneling of drug money into the Clinton Foundation was dropped without any mention of the reasons. So yes, there is a lot you don't know and probably don't even want to know.

Hello Jwocky,

I am not very knowledgeable about all American history, so it was an interesting read. Indeed funny to see that your democrats wanted to keep slavery and segregation, and the republicans wanted to introduce all sorts of liberal laws. Who knows, they may just be working on legalizing drugs at this very moment :-)

Generally i do not hold children responsible for what their parents did. But i found one worrying thing in your story. The history seems too close to today for comfort, if the Clintons are actually mentored by kkk men.

Another thing i thereby wonder about is whether Obama is also mentored by the kkk?

Kind regards, Vincent

Where can I read about "The Association of Black Lawyers in NY"? Google tells me nothing at all.

@Vincent ... you maybe want to look up Libertarians. For my taste a little bit extreme, but they are far beyond the Dutch in that they even would like to make hard drugs like heroin and meth legal, claiming, if you want to take that stuff, we don't care. The drawback for the drug users is, they also want laws that make them legally responsible for every crime they commit in connection with it. So being stoned would be no legal excuse anymore in court, no temporary insanity defense.

Well, and here is the thing. I am a conservative. Means, I don't expect you to just trust my word, I ask you to look it up. I gave you enough names and times to find all of it and much more. The tradition of American liberalism is one of following mindlessly, the tradition of parts of the conservatives is looking it up and make up your opinion. Of parts of it ... because conservatives don't really exist, it's more a whole spectrum of ideas which clash often quite hard. Democrats would never let it happen that a dozen of them have to fight each other tooth and nails in primaries with all the connected mudslinging and self-damaging. They would run two or maximum three and make sure, the outcome is what the party brass wants. But the Republicans can't do that. There are too many different brands of conservatives, so, things have to be fought out and, while lately some Republican party brass tried to play Democrat, conservatives need basically the voters to figure out where they stand this seaswon. Weird, isn't it? Because it puts the Democrats, the party of the "liberals" as far away from liberalism as technical possible and makes the Republicans actually "liberal" ... duhhh, now I embarrassed everybody!

@Lydiot: This one is kind of secretive, so you have to go with the members. You can try with one of their token black lawyers Vernon Mason, you will find him in connection with the Twana Brawley Hoax and the Lemuel Smith trials. Then you look up Al Sharpton and "Lawyer association" and Jesse Jackson and "lawyer association" and James Fulbright and the Obamas and the Clintons, all with lawyer association. The problem is, this is not a registered club, they operate more like a cell. Bud Mackay was a member (also a whie non-lawyer) and you may want to look up O'Callaghan and Dave Duke and lawyer association and New York. That giyes you at least one Grand Dragon, one Grand Wizard, a dragon, a wizard and probably, but I'm not sure in that case, maybe another wizard. You find the cell itself as a subset of "The National Black Lawyers", the chapter in NY as "New York Association of Black Lawyers", the CA chapter as "California Association of Black Lawyers". I know, the Nevada, Arakansas and Alabama chaptersuse other labes, but I would have to look them up myself again, it's a while, I looked into them (which was actually not for politics but to find a killer, so it was less target-aimed for politics). Another thing, you want to look into are obviously the keywords "Whitewater" and "Mena".
So, do your research, don't go and just believe! However, a little warning here, don't dig too deep. There is already an impressive number of dead people who dug too deep into this swamp.
Free speech can never be achieved by dictatorial measures!
