Since the landclass work is taking up too much time. I have decided that its best to generate India with the v0 landclasses + combined with OSM (Roads+Streams+Coastline) as we go on.
I will start pushing the shapefiles to our git organisation.

And I will work on the landclasses in the mean time and generate as I finish it part by part.

@D-ECHO
Hi there,
I am starting to push the shapefiles to the git organisation,

As you can see Maldives comes inside the tile. Is it possible for you to merge the shapefiles you made into this, so that when we generate we get Maldives too.

Hi SHM
The shapefiles are now available.
I forked D-ECHO's repo into India Project. Can you deal with merging landclasses?

I don't think these are the right landclasses, they are for the Azores!: :D

I can deal with the merging :D
But the problem I have is that it may cause the same error as Singapore when I use the OSM shapefiles. Going through some documentation to fix it :D

when he exported the shapefile with QGis (for landmass in Singapore)
ogr-decoded is outputting an error, and not producing any result.

@SHM, @D-ECHO
Now I forked into FGFS-India the correct Maldives. Azores is pretty much Atlantic Ocean -- far northwest.

This is the error ogr-decode gives.

Code: Select all

Found feature without geometry!
Aborting!
