Hello there,
I have started developing Scenery of India, and thought that I should start a forum thread for it so that people interested could join.

The work is going to be immense considering the fact it is the seventh largest country and the current state of the scenery in FG is really bad.

This should give you an idea.
As you can see there are only 5 airports that are developed out of which 2 of them were recently developed by me.

So I plan to follow this order for development.
    1. Develop high quality airport layouts and generate them with better landclass data edited with QGIS.
    2. Model the terminals. Add OSM objects.
    3. Make the groundnet and AI traffic files.
    4. Model 3d objects of the monuments and other well known buildings.
    5. Make all the liveries of airlines in India (Should be easy since most of them are already there.)

The first five airports in that list is done( the WED work).

Since you're a WED artist I suggest you start from sixth (VOHS).
Also leave a note here whenever you start on an airport.

Thanks to Israel I now have a working terragear tool. :D . So I could generate them without bothering anyone(Read d-laser)

had you considered using OSM for roads instead?
It is certainly a better approach in my opinion,

(as in, dont worry about adding a road class. Data exists that is more completely and accurate you could ever try)

doesn't that impact fps more?

no. I did not mean OSM2city (roads). I mean you can use the OSM data as landclass. Is done in much of the world already

OSM2CITY roads hardly affects FPS, as seen in Belfast and Chitose, where the area is full of roads, and frame rates are generally excellent on my Intel GPU.

But OSM data as landclass is certainly a better idea.
