Texturedthe doors and resized the badly oversized hangar in the southwest cargo apron.
I need to now figure out what to texture the rest of it as.

For future uploads to terrasync, keep in mind, all one building is 1 single texture.

The layout is now recommended for next X-plane inclusion. More importantly, now accepted in the gateway, hopefully the next FG scenery in terrasync will include the new layout (before May's Festival)

Other airports in the area (thanks SHM) are also now currently improved ;)

T'cargo apron 's lookin' bare; time to get busy!
I suppose I should texture what I have so far.
I wonder, Israel, could you possibly help in any way?
My method is UV MAP, export UV MAP to .png, then paint in Paint, and export the .ac. Finally, I manually add in the texture to the corresponding objects.

I need to add the doors of the hangar I just textured, and it is hard to find good sliding door textures public domain. Any tips? I also want to replace those ugly walls. It looks like a kid's work.

Firefly, how did you make that beautiful texture?!

Lots of tips. but to begin, Do you have a camera?
Go outside, look for a door or something "with a similar feeling" and try getting a shot of that for the base of the texture.

Then on blender, there are ways to make and "BAKE" UVmaps, so the new texture is generated.
It's a long history, but something totally worth learning

Certainly!
I'll take a look. However, I am not so certain they have that type of door in Venezuela...

Here's how I texture buildings.

I make a material for each image texture, (i.e. door texture material, roof texture material) then I assign each material to corresponding building pieces (i.e. door, roof) and UV map it on the textures how I want it, the easiest way to do that is select the faces of a certain material (i.e. all the doors), press u and then select smart uv project, that unwraps it, then the in the UV editor, select the door texture and move the faces around in the UV editor so that they line up with the door, next I set up the lights in the scene, I add a sun lamp and angle it a bit, turn on ambient occlusion and set it to multiply, and put global illumination to about .1 (these settings are in the world tab), then I make a new UV map (in the object data tab) and select everything and the unwrap it with smart uv project and create a new texture and bake everything onto that new texture (bake settings are in the bottom of the render tab) then I remove all the materials from that building and add a new one that uses the texture I just baked, then I export that texture and set up lights for a lightmap, I delete the sun lamp, add several point lamps around the building and turn the strength up, turn down global illumination to about .01, and then bake the texture again and export it as the lightmap.

That sounds kinda complex, I'll try to make a video tutorial within the next few days.
