Which brings me to think... what? They don't have air marshalls on board?

Even in the US and Israel there are not Air Marshals on every flight. ;) IIRC the exact number of flying Marshals is considered classified information (won't look it up,) but it is certainly well below the number of flights per day.

At least Richard Marx happened to be Right There Waiting for him. :D :D :D

Well, air marshals or not, you'd think that there would be some sort of training on what to do when such cases arise...
