Severe hail storm at Istanbul on Jul 27th 2017

Several aircraft received hail damage to nose cone and leading edges. But this one was the worst off, with completely opaque front wind shields.

"The crew used the side windows while landing the aircraft". I suppose that is the reason why they had to approach sideways in this film.

Great to see a well trained for manual flight Airbus crew perform excellent. Unfortunately that is not standard in all Airbus training schemes.

Kind regards, Vincent

Wow cudos to the pilots.

Yes, when trained well, Airbus pilots are excellent. (Most Airbus crew lands manually tho)

Actually there are airlines that use sim time for wild-west flying. Pilots are encouraged to low level fly between buildings and stuff like that. Just to give them more feel for the behaviour of their plane. Unfortunately again it happens at too few airlines.

That is sad. :(
I'd love to try that in a real sim.

Kind Regards,
Josh
