Airport quality rating

The airports on the map can be of quite different quality, and it can be sometimes disappointing when arriving at a large airport with just one hangar placed there. Therefore i thought about a quality rating filter. This rating should be reasonably objective, so i thought of some levels with some objective criteria to go with them.

Rating 5: Realistic
- The airport makes a complete impression (no major terminals missing)
- The major buildings are custom made to reflect the real buildings
- Example: EHAM

Rating 4: Immersive
- The airport makes a complete impression
- Most of the buildings are shared objects though, not made specific for this airport
- Example: SMJP

Rating 3: Incomplete
- The airport makes an incomplete impression
- There are quite a few good (realistic) buildings, yet e.g. major terminals are still missing
- Example: EGLL

Rating 2: Bare
- The airport makes an empty impression
- There are just one or two shared objects placed there.
- Example: EGQS

Rating 1: Defect
- The airport has serious defects, like grass over the runway or terminals not reachable by aprons.
- It does not matter weather the buildings are realistic, the defect is more important
- Example: LSZB (grass over the runway) or LFOK (no apron)

Rating 0: Not rated
- Still needs rating

How to rate

Everybody can send in their ratings to this thread. There are some 900 airports to rate, so any help is welcome, and i will initially just take the ratings over as is. When there is disagreement about an airport i will take a look myself and try to solve it with the ones disagreeing.

When rating, just remember the following:

- This is not a popularity voting system. The ratings should be as objective as possible along the lines of the criteria i mentioned above. So do not go rating an airport on level 5 just because you like it IRL, when there are only few buildings planted there in terrasync, making a level 2 more correct. You are doing this rating for others, so they are not disappointed after a long flight, when they chose a well rated airport to land.

- This map is about terrasync airports. So watch the airports in plain terrasync when rating. Not custom scenery or terragit.

- Airport size matters! A GA airfield can be "realistic" or "immersive" with just one building, if that is the only building on the real airfield too. But a large airport with just one building is most likely category "bare".

- Use any tool you like for insight in how the buildings look in reality. I use google satellite maps. If you zoom in enough you sometimes get aerial photography at a 45 degree tilt. Else trying to see the buildings from street view is sometimes possible.

- I rated some airports from the top of my head, to have a few in every level. When you think i'm wrong, i'll find out in this thread.

Filter on the map

In the legend i have added a selection box for the quality levels. The toggle box in front of it means:
- on: Show current and better levels
- off: Show current level only

The map starts up with level 0 (not rated) and everything better. That is effectively every airport on the map.

Kind regards, Vincent
