Hydraulic System added, including rewriting the Spoiler Control System for more realistic spoilers, and new hydraulically controlled ailerons, elevators, and rudders.

Note that I have not yet animated the hydraulic cockpit switches, so please use the Autostart option to make your flight controls work :)

Also made some other minor fixes.

The Gabriel version is now called 737-800YV so it can coexist with the Soitanen version. Please delete the folder *COMPLETELY* and reinstall from here: (or clone) http://www.github.com/YV3399/737-800YV.git

I will speak with Israel shortly to sort out FGMEMBERS version, for now, please don't push anything to the gabriel branch there.

Hi It0uchpods,

Good that the planes can coexist now. Nice for MP, and it also makes it a lot easier to switch planes.

I had some time to test.

The pitch and power seems ok. I could do the 60-45-60 percent rule. Fly level at 60% power at 200 kts with flaps 5. Do the glide slope at 45% power and slow down. When all flaps are set, catch speed with 60% power and continue descent.

The manual flight model has improved a lot. Yet the plane is still a bit "light". When flying 200 kts and yanking the stick left or right, the plane sets into a roll motion too easily.

Another aspect of inertia is that arresting a motion should be hard too. When doing a rather hard push or pull, the motion should not be easily arrested at the desired pitch. But in this plane stopping such motion is just a bit too easy.

For reference, think of how some 747's are made to feel really heavy in this game. That is actually how heavy a 737 should feel too.

Another reference could be that every fdm developer flies the Soitanen 737 a lot, to know how heavy a plane should feel (loads of inertia).

Then just one more thing. The N1 indicator works like this: The line and percentage is directly linked to throttle setting. The filling is linked to spool-up. But this plane has no filling, and the line and percentage are linked to spool-up.

Good to know, I'll work on that.

About the N1 indicator, that is INCORRECT. The line and percentage are actual spoolup, the filling is also. This will be added sometime. There is a marker on the outside of the N1 indicator showing the difference in throttle position and spoolup, but it is not modelled yet.

Well, that is how it was explained to me by people who fly these things. If there is anything wrong, i must have misunderstood the explanation. Anyhow, there should be a way to see your throttle setting directly, and the spool-up comes later. If you want to implement something different that achieves the same, that is fine with me.

About systems i can not say much. I use auto start and manually put in some auto pilot settings. That is all i use. What i did notice is that FLCH and heading are automatically on, and that i did not have the opportunity to turn them off separately.

Yes, the info I got is from Boeing documentation, and from observing real airplanes, and trying the PMDG 737. Enough sources for me!

I've just noticed, this plane uses a slightly edited version of the soundpack that I made for the CFM56-5b for the A320. I have two points about this. One, Boeing 737 uses CFM56-7b, not CFM56-5b. Two, I am not in the credits.
