Hi All, And JAFVA Pilots

JAFVA NEW PILOT REQUEST

First and foremost, Thanks to all pilots for their patience

JAFVA is active again.

1. Pilots already registered and that have a good understanding of our flying etiquette can keep flying and submitting their flights, like usual
2. Pilots willing to join the JAFVA exclusive ranks, please send me a PM or an email in the mean-time. I'll assign you a JAFVA code, and an initial location; so new guys can begin flying.

Required changes are coming to JAFVA that will bring semi-automation to hours granting and roster updates. Every flight, as until now, will keep being evaluated for quality control and validation.

Have a great Flight!

Best,
IH-COL
JAFVA CEO

Pilot Roster updated. 1043 Flights already completed!

Congratulation to the Following Pilots for Promotions

  • G-SHOZ, first pilot to reach Captain Senior, our highest rank: New Callsign ICAO4690, GA and Charter: G-SHOA
  • SP-BAN, Captain, New Callsign ICAO2261, GA and Charter: SP-BNB
  • Legoboyvdlp, First Officer, New Callsign ICAO5342, GA and Charter: YV-534C
  • D-SANNI, First Officer, New Callsign, ICAO7642, GA and Charter: D-SNIC
  • SP-K79, First Officer Entry, New Callsign ICAO5793, GA and Charter: SP-SKD

When reporting new flights make sure to use your three numbers identified, this is only the first three numbers of your JAFVA ICAO callsign, Example, if you are ICAO2261, your correct 3number code is 226. The correctness of your ID is critical for the mysql database to assign the hours to you correctly.

Best,
IH-COL

PANC-CYVR in a B772ER

I am currently trying to develop a tracking system based on geojson for JAFVA, for which maps (and plots) can be drawn. My flight today logged succesfully, and a map was generated. Red line is the flown track (or my flight blackbox), whereas the blue line was generated from my route file (a gpx file taken from skyvector)

This was quite a pleasant and entertained flight. The TerraGIT scenery in the Salt Lake City area is very nice.

It wasn't easy because there is a power-tower near the RWY 13 in Nashville. But after struggling, succeeded the landing.
