No, i did not. Thanks for clearing that up. What the hell is not fake news anymore nowadays? Even film can not be trusted. Need to triple check everything on fakeness before posting.
The text i wrote is still valid though. (not fake news, not alternative facts).
Kind regards, Vincent

Re: Crashing with the Flies
These drones will become a worse hazard than birds in the near future. There are idiots who try to film planes landing from 10 ft away. Others just have no idea that they fly through air routes. There is only one solution: Designated drone flying areas like Jwocky described there are for model plane...

Re: Critical angle of attack
Hello Jwocky,
That could be a good usable number too. Just trying to brainstorm a bit about what would be the easiest way to measure for a stall protection within the limitations of Flightgear here.
Kind regards, Vincent

Re: Critical angle of attack
Hello Bomber, There are many actual numbers generated in the wonderful nasal properties tree. I always said: *If* the actual AoA is available, it is easy to compare it to the critical AoA. But no one ever said that the actual AoA is not available. You are the first one to say so. In the case that yo...

Re: IDG A3XX Autoland CAT III Demo
This is the most boring film i ever saw, with just a grey windscreen. But boring is good in this case. Then the system worked well :-) I wonder if you made it taxiing to the gate in this fog. Ow, there is just one thing i noticed. It seemed like the plane called you a retard after touchdown. Kind re...

Re: Critical angle of attack
As i said before, ideally you should be able to readout the actual AoA of the wings separately, because they can have different actual AoA's under certain circumstances. The tail has not much to to do with it. It can only influence the attitude of the plane, and thereby the actual AoA of the wings. ...

Re: AirAsia flight returns to Perth after mid-air scare
Well, yes if they indeed descended 2000 fpm, they took their time to get exactly down in 10 minutes, fl 300 to fl 100. Not recommendable with the chemical oxygen masks, which may stop at 9 minutes. But there is a discrepancy. 2000 fpm is really gentle. On all my jump seat rides, they did more than 2...

Re: AirAsia flight returns to Perth after mid-air scare
Hi HJ1an, I am not doubting your experience and judgement that there may be some lack of training with the AirAsia cabin crew. Not being able to do a simple announcement sounds pretty weird indeed. But i do want to put forward, what maybe not everyone knows, is that the major part of cabin crew trai...

Re: AirAsia flight returns to Perth after mid-air scare
It is always best to stick to the facts, instead of listening to exaggerated horror stories of passengers. Aviation herald says this about it: http://avherald.com/h?article=4afbbe1b&opt=0 There are not many details known about this incident. And why should there be? As far as i am concerned, a n...

Re: Critical angle of attack
No, i am saying exactly the opposite. A wing stalls at the critical angle of attack. Every article i read about it states: The critical angle of attack is a constant related to the form of the wing. So angle of attack is a perfect way to make stall protection. If you can readout the actual angle of ...
